Le Volte is an approachable wine made by Tenuta dell' Ornellaia with their exacting standards from young Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the estate, and Sangiovese from the surrounding coastal Maremma region.
The composition of the 2004 vintage is 50% Sangiovese, 35% Merlot, and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon; it aged for 10 months in 2 to 4 year old barriques, previously used for Masseto and Ornellaia.
